Adrian qualified as a solicitor at a large City law firm in the early 1990s. He left to go into business in 1994, since when he has been involved in private equity transactions across a number of business sectors, including insurance broking and underwriting, retail motor distribution and property development. Adrian has a record over 25 years of creating significant value for shareholders. He founded ACR Solicitors LLP in 2007 and was responsible for merging the original legal practice of Gordon Dadds into Gordon Dadds LLP in 2013 when he became managing partner and has since overseen the expansion of Gordon Dadds by a combination of acquisitions and organic growth from a £2.7 million turnover business in 2013 to a £25 million turnover business in 2017.
Christopher is a chartered accountant who has been actively involved in corporate finance for over 30 years. Christopher qualified with Touche Ross & Co. (now part of Deloitte) in 1978 and from 1983 spent nearly 20 years with Credit Lyonnais Securities. He has since been involved with Corporate Finance Partners Limited and has previously been a director of two AIM companies, Pires Investments plc and Kennedy Ventures plc. Christopher chaired the QCA Corporate Governance Committee from 2001 to 2005 and joined Gordon Dadds in 2013.
Brett has been in professional services for 17 years, starting his career in Risk Management at Citi and later moved into strategic projects. In 2008, Brett moved to the consultancy Sapient, where he ran the Risk Assurance practice for 4 years. From 2012, Brett ran the Regulatory Managed Service proposition at Deloitte Consulting UK and drove alliances with Allen & Overy, Reccomind and other legal industry participants. In 2016, Brett moved to Gordon Dadds to set up GD Financial Markets LLP.
John graduated with an honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Wales and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a predecessor firm of Touche Ross (now Deloitte) where he subsequently became a partner. John has also been involved as an investor and director in a number of companies in the insurance broking and underwriting sectors in particular in the UK and US.
Alex qualified as a solicitor 20 years ago. Prior to joining the original Gordon Dadds in 2012 Alex was senior counsel at BDO LLP with responsibility for advising in relation to risk control, contract and project management. Alex advises Gordon Dadds’ clients on a wide range of regulatory issues in the gaming, accountancy, legal and property sectors in particular. He is also the firm’s HOLP with primary responsibility for advising the firm’s lawyers on regularity and compliance matters and ensuring the firm’s compliance with the SRA Rules.
Roger is the firm’s senior partner having been senior partner of the original Gordon Dadds prior to its merger with Gordon Dadds LLP in 2013. He is a qualified solicitor of 44 years experience and specialises in private client and charity law. As senior partner his role is to lead by example and he is also the firm’s nominated partner for handling complaints made against members of the firm.
John qualified as a solicitor 39 years ago and specialises in all areas of family law. He has been with Gordon Dadds LLP since its acquisition of Davenport Lyons in 2014. Simon is a qualified solicitor of 23 years’ experience. Upon qualification he worked for Braby and Waller Solicitors, undertaking debt recovery and insolvency work. He also built an insurance practice and founded Cost Auditing Limited which was sold to Capita Plc in 2002 (now called Cost Advocates Limited). He was Managing Director until 2007, reporting to the Executive Board. Simon formed Prolegal in 2004 with the financial backing of Capita Plc and orchestrated the sale of the company to Gordon Dadds in 2017.
Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has a masters degree in law. He has many years of experience in leadership roles at law firms and in industry. He was a partner at national law firm, Shoosmiths, where he was a member of the senior management team that established and grew the firm’s £10 million direct conveyancing operation. Prior to joining Gordon Dadds, Jeremy was Head of Legal at multi-national transport company, Norbert Dentressangle (now known as XPO Logistics). In addition, Jeremy has undertaken advisory roles for HM Government, the Law Society, RICS and the Land Registry.
